As the owner of a Canon SLR camera, I was pretty excited about the Silver PowerShot ELPH 300 HS
I was really surprised by the “size” of the camera. It is simply tiny and fits perfectly into any pocket. Ideal for “Always” camera. 
Also, the body makes a quality impression and send and feels, thanks to the rough surface, but quite handy.
One thing I must mention the same: the camera is not for people with large hands. These were both in operation (due to the small control elements) as well as when holding the camera (due to size) problems.
What is the first thing I noticed is that completely different menu for the settings of the camera. But this differs greatly from the menu of the Canon SLR cameras and is in my opinion a bit strange. After a short period but found it very well.
The speed of the camera is very good. Both AF and zoom to work fast enough. The image stabilizer works great.
